The facilities at Oostvallei Retirement Village comprise the following:

Main Building

The main building forms the heart of the village, is centrally situated and comprises a large dining room, patio, an assembly hall, library, lounge and administrative offices.

Dining Room

Well-balanced meals are prepared in our brand new industrial kitchen. Arrangements can be made with the caterer for special occasions such as parties and large family gatherings.

Assembly Hall

In the main building there is a large hall with a stage for special events such as annual general meetings, weekly church services,  performances or theatrical productions and exhibitions. Smaller venues are also available for family gatherings or special birthday parties.

Library

The library offers a large variety of books and also the most popular daily newspapers and magazines.

Administrative Office

The administrative office can assist with a variety of aspects, which give the residents peace of mind.

Post Boxes

The village has its own private bag and the residents’ mail is delivered at the administrative building. Outgoing mail can conveniently be sent from the safe environment of the village.

Laundry

The laundry is operated by means of a coin system and is available to residents at a nominal fee. The washing machines conveniently allow for the washing of larger items such as curtains or sheets.

Security

There is only one entrance to the village with 24 hour security.

The latest technology in modern fencing systems has been used on the border to the nature reserve. An electric fence, good lighting and wide walkways make it not only a pleasure to go for a walk but also ensures peace of mind. The entire Oostvallei has a back-up generator and is therefore not affected by local power failures or load shedding. This in itself is a major advantage in having proper security. An architecturally designed high concrete wall with additional electric fencing secures the rest of the village and also provides the necessary much needed privacy.

Safety and security is one of the most important aspects in the village and this is something Oostvallei can be proud of!
